UG Scanner ("the app") is a document scanning and OCR application. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use UG Scanner.
UG Scanner may access the following device features when you use the corresponding features:
UG Scanner provides OCR (optical character recognition) to extract text from scanned images using Google ML Kit Text Recognition. OCR processing may be performed on the device. UG Scanner does not operate its own server for uploading your documents for OCR.
Documents and images that you scan or select are used to provide features such as cropping, page organization, PDF creation, OCR, and sharing. UG Scanner does not provide its own cloud storage service for your scanned documents.
UG Scanner uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may collect or use information such as advertising identifiers, device information, and usage information to provide, measure, and improve advertising, subject to their applicable policies and settings.
UG Scanner does not use Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics.
PDF files created by UG Scanner are saved on your device. When you choose to share a PDF, image, or extracted text, Android's sharing functionality sends the selected content to an app or service you choose. The receiving service's privacy policy applies to information you share with it.
UG Scanner does not provide an account system or its own online database for storing your scanned documents. Files may be stored locally on your device or in temporary app storage as necessary to provide the requested features.
UG Scanner is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or registration system.
UG Scanner uses third-party libraries and services, including Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google ML Kit Text Recognition. These services may process information according to their own privacy policies.
You can control permissions through your Android device settings. You can also choose whether to use features such as camera scanning, image selection, OCR, advertising-supported features, and sharing.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app's features or applicable requirements change. The updated version will be published at the same privacy-policy webpage with a revised effective date.
